Autism spectrum disorder facts and treatment protocol

Autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) are a set of complex neurodevelopmental disorders defined behaviorally by impaired social interaction, delayed and disordered language, repetitive or stereotypic behavior, and a restricted range of interests. ASDs represent a significant public health issue with recent estimates indicating that as many as 1% of children in the United States are diagnosed with an ASD. Many individuals with ASDs have symptoms of associated medical illness, including seizures, sleep problems, metabolic conditions, and gastrointestinal (GI) disorders, which have significant health, developmental, social, and educational impacts.

Some of the different types of autism spectrum disorders include:

Autistic disorder. This is what most people think of when they hear the word “autism.” It refers to problems with social interactions, communication, and imaginative play in children younger than 3 years.

Asperger’s syndrome. These children don’t have a problem with language — in fact, they tend to score in the average or above-average range on intelligence tests. But they have the same social problems and limited scope of interests as children with autistic disorder.

Pervasive developmental disorder or PDD — also known as atypical autism. This is a kind of catch-all category for children who have some autistic behaviors but who don’t fit into other categories.

Rett syndrome. Known to occur mainly in girls, children with Rett syndrome start developing normally but begin to lose their communication and social skills. Beginning at the age of 1 to 4 years, repetitive hand movements replace purposeful use of the hands.

Childhood disintegrative disorder. These children develop normally for at least two years and then lose some or most of their communication and social skills. This is an extremely rare disorder and its existence as a separate condition is a matter of debate among many mental health professionals.

ASD is multi-factorial, complex syndrome which is many organs involved. But an intriguing clue lies in the gut.

Here are a few fact effects on ASD:

  • Genetic factor
  • Environmental and home toxic
  • Impaired digestion –Brain starvation
  • Leaky gut and leaky brain

Intestinal bacteria and autism:

  1. Less diversity
  2. Opportunistic (harmful bacteria overgrowth)
    The clostridium and autism
    The candida albicans and autism
    The bacteriods and autism

Sulfur metabolism deficiency:

  1. Sulfur-sulfate-sulfation
  2. Sulfution deficiency and Autism
  3. Solution for sulfation deficiency

Methylation and toxic metal:

  1. Methylation deficit and autism
  2. Solution for methylation deficit

Thyroid hormone and autism
Adrenal hormone and autism
Blood sugar balance and autism

Neurotransmitters and autism:

  1. Serotonin
  2. dopamine
  3. Norepinephrine
  4. Glutamate and Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)

How do we treat ASD, the first or most important are heal the leaky gut. We need to remove all the offending foods, replace the pathogens in the gut with beneficial bacteria, repair damaged mucosal lining, eat the appropriate diet, and give all the nutrients and enzymes to support healthy gastrointestinal mucosal cells, goblet cells, and the immune system. However, the most important intervention is the appropriate diet.

According to parents surveyed by autism research institute, a gluten and casein free diet (GF/CF) is helpful for 65% of children with autism, even though a food sensitivity test may not show a reaction to these foods. Also, many patients of mine who followed the GF/CF diet, had remarkable improvement with their pain, fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety, celiac disease and many other problems. Diet is the first step to healing autism and underlying cause of diseases.

Gluten prone to cause brain damage. Autistic children have found anti-gluten antibody which cause the most brain damage. The mechanisms are:

  1. Cross-reaction. It appear the protein structure of gluten is similar to protein structures to nervous system. When the children produce anti-gluten antibody, the immune system may accidentally produce antibodies to nervous tissue whenever you eat gluten. In this case a gluten sensitivity may create an auto immunity attack against the grain or other parts of the nervous system due to cross-reaction.

  2. Immune reactions to gluten can break down the blood brain barrier, lead to a leaky brain.

  3. Gluten triggers nervous system transglutaminase autoimmunity. We want to be aware of the more recently discovered transglutaminase (TG6), which is found throughout the central nervous system. Gluten can trigger immune activity to TG6, leading to autoimmune to destruction of brain and nervous tissue. (Thomas H, et al. 2013)

When you are sick, the best is drink juice, watery smoothie, soup type of foods. These liquid type of foods don’t need much to digest, easy going to your digestive tract, give digestive system a break time, heal the gut lining

If you have a juicer, your patient can start the day with a glass of freshly pressed fruit/vegetable juice in the morning.

There are many health benefits of drinking freshly juiced fruits and vegetables, and it’s a great way to add nutrients from the fruits or vegetables that you normally wouldn’t eat. Fruit and vegetable juices retain most of the vitamins, minerals and plant chemicals (phytonutrients) that would be found in the whole versions of those foods

Smoothie: Smoothies are thick shake type drinks filled mainly with fruit or vegetables and other nutrient dense ingredients. They make wonderful options for a meal or a snack when made with natural items.

Kids love the taste of a creamy smoothie. Getting your kids to eat healthy foods is not always easy. Fortunately naturally sweet fruit or a good sweetener like honey, or stevia make good tests smoothie. .You can even hide veggies in your kid’s smoothies that they would never eat on their own.

Soup: To make good meat stock you need joints, bones, a piece of meat on the bone, a whole chicken, giblets from chicken, goose or duck, whole pigeons, pheasants or other inexpensive meats. It is essential to use bones and joints, as they provide the healing substances, not so much the muscle meats. The gelatinous soft tissues around the bones and the bone marrow provide some of the best healing remedies for the gut lining and the immune system; your patient needs to consume them with every meal.

Animal based soup is best for healing the digestive tract, but how to get children to drink it can be a problem. Both of my children do not like drink soup, they ran fast as away they can as they see the soup on the table.

Probiotic: Beneficial bacteria have a lifelong, powerful effect on your gut’s immune system and your systemic immune system as well. The bacteria play a crucial role in the development and operation of the mucosal immune system in your digestive tract. They also aid in the production of antibodies to pathogens.

Friendly bacteria train your immune system to distinguish between pathogens and non-harmful antigens, and to respond appropriately. This important function prevents your immune system from overreacting to non-harmful antigens, which is the genesis of allergies.

Probiotics can even help to normalize your weight. One study found that obese people were able to reduce their abdominal fat by nearly 5 percent, and their subcutaneous fat by over 3 percent, just be drinking a probiotic-rich fermented milk beverage for 12 weeks.

As you can see, probiotics perform a wide variety of functions, which renders them useful and beneficial for a number of health concerns, some of which are still being uncovered. And because adding probiotics to your diet is so easy, by way of cultured foods and/or supplements, it’s one step I highly encourage you to take on your journey to optimal health.

The most numerous probiotic bacteria normally inhabiting the small intestine are species of Lactobacilli. In the large intestine, the majority are mainly Bifidobacterias. Most probiotic products consist of one or more species of bacteria from one or both of these types. Some products available mainly in Europe may also contain certain beneficial species of E.coli but these are rare at this time.

Prebiotic: Prebiotics are non-digestible specialized complex plant sugar fibers that stimulate the growth and/or activity of bacteria by nourishing them in the digestive system, particularly the large bowel or colon. The body itself does not digest these plant fiber, but the bacteria use them and in turn provide many digestive and general health benefits.

The prebiotic effect has been shown to associate with modulation of biomarkers and activity(ies) of the immune system. Confirming the studies in adults, it has been demonstrated that, in infant nutrition, the prebiotic effect includes a significant change of gut microbiota composition, especially an increase of fecal concentrations of bifidobacteria. This concomitantly improves stool quality (PH, SCFA, frequency and consistency), reduces the risk of gastroenteritis and infections, improves general well-being and reduces the incidence of allergic symptoms such as atopic eczema.

Fecal transplant: As the name implies, a fecal transplant is just that – following a high volume enema deep into your colon from the beginning end of your GI tract to clean things out, a small sample of a donor stool from a presumably healthy individual is inserted (nasogastric tube from the top end is used in some instances – more of a European thing). The donor sample, teeming with trillions of presumably healthy bacterial cells, then sets up shop in your colon and reinstates balance in an ecosystem sent into a tailspin by an opportunistic pathogen(s) that bloomed following a perturbation – presumably from the destructive (scorched earth) effect of said broad-spectrum antibiotic. By doing a number on the diversity and abundance of microbes in your gut – both friend and foe and everything in between – broad-spectrum antibiotics have the potential to significantly shift the composition of your gut microbial community and provide opportunities for low abundance pathogens to rise up. As mounting research suggests, fecal transplants are impressively effective in solving recurrent C. diff infections – one such opportunistic pathogen. The transplant works because stool from healthy people, when mixed with warm water and delivered via a tube into patients’ colons, helps re-establish the normal balance of bacteria in the intestine.

Coffee and probiotic enemas: If you are truly serious about transforming your health to optiment level, implementing coffee enemas in your regular routing is essential for achieving the life change results that you always desire. Here are seven benefits coffee enemas can drastically improve your health.

Fermented food: Fermentation is a metabolic process by which an organism converts a carbohydrate, such as starch or a sugar, into an alcohol or an acid. For example, yeast perform fermentation to obtain energy by converting sugar into alcohol. Bacteria perform fermentation, converting carbohydrates into lactic acid. Butyric acid-by product from fermentation is a major energy source for the epithelial cells. The large intestine is the biggest fermenting area. When our gut flora is unable to ferment substances within our own bodies, this will lead to numerous diseases. That is why we need to eat fermented foods.

Fermentation has a long history. For instance, it is mentioned many times in the Bible that Abraham drank sour milk (fermented milk) and lived to be over hundred years old. It was used in pre-modern times primarily to preserve food. Our ancestors had learned that fermenting foods and drinks keeps them from rotting…of course they did not have refrigeration. I remember when I was young my grandmother always fed me a fermented, pickled vegetable. Even that recently, we did not have refrigeration. The modern world has changed how we live. Pickled foods have disappeared from our kitchen table.

When researchers analyzed the stool of people aged 80-109 years old in Bama, a Longevity Hot Spot in China, they found that it contained from 53 to 87 percent bifidobacterium—significantly more than elderly Chinese from other districts. This finding was attributed to their diets rich in FOS and their intake of fermented foods. It’s likely the findings would be the same for people in the other longevity communities, given their intake of FOS and probiotics

Yet, over the years, science has learned that the process of fermentation yields powerful health benefits. Fermented foods…

  1. Improve gut health
  2. Enhance digestibility
  3. Enhance nutrient content.

Fermented foods are also among some of the best chelators (detoxifiers) available. The beneficial bacteria in these foods are capable of drawing out a wide range of environmental toxins, including pesticides and heavy metals from the blood and other organs of the body.. And you don’t need to consume huge amounts either.

Chapter 8 Life Style Change

Although people believe that food and drink are what affects the digestive system, there are other, external influences that can also play a part. The Modern lifestyle promotes a dysfunctional gut flora and increased intestinal permeability. Leading to impaired digestion and chronic, low-grade inflammation. The end result is poor health and disease Stress can play a major role in influencing the working of the gut.

Smoking is another example of how our modern lifestyle creates changes in our digestive system. Not only does it increase the risk of cancer, but it can also contribute to such common disorders such as heartburn, peptic ulcers, Chrohn’s Disease and gallstones. There are many ways to stop smoking. Acupuncture as an alternative approach to smoking cessation has a growing number of converts because of its success with turning smokers into ex-smokers. It takes all of your symptoms into account, not just the smoking itself and aims at balancing the energy within the body to optimize health. The treatment focuses on jitters, cravings, irritability and restlessness, all symptoms that people commonly complain about when they quit. It also aids in relaxation and detoxification.

In one study conducted at the University of Oslo, Norway, acupuncture was found to significantly reduce the desire to smoke up to five years after the initial treatment. Subjects of the study also reported that cigarettes tasted worse than before treatment and that the treatments had effectively reduced their taste for tobacco.

The whole book will come soon!

Acupuncture for facelift

Despite the skepticism so often expressed about alternative treatments, it is obvious that many people have been using them and being very happy and successful with the results. A good case in point is the recent upsurge in using acupuncture for everything from the aches and pains of arthritis and fibromyalgia, to releasing emotional traumas and for healing from the after effects of surgery or reducing the pain from car accidents.
I, Ping Lisbin, would like to open another door for all of those who are willing to throw their skepticism aside, allowing them to experience the benefits of acupuncture. I have recently added to my use of traditional Chinese acupuncture, another branch, facial acupuncture, to provide my clients with a natural face lift. The use of needles in the various acupuncture points on the face and the body is not new, but word is now getting out about how much easier and less likely it is to harm the face, along with how well it does this.

All that is involved is placing very thin, tiny sterile needles in the areas on face and body which have been shown to rejuvenate appearance. Sometimes there might be a little prickling sensation when the needle goes in, but this quickly disappears. A client will be then be quietly relaxing to some music in the background while laying down with some gentle heat from heat lamps. This is the treatment and usually lasts for about 1 hour.

It is recommended to get 15 treatments. The total cost would be $1200. You will definitely look younger. Some people may look 10 years younger. Facial lines will soften. The neck and cheek jowls will firm up. What a wonderful way to achieve results , not to mention how much better you will feel because all those pressure points connect to your liver and other organs. The acupuncture stimulates the organs of your body to release toxins and waste products that are affecting the look of your face. It also helps your organs to function better. So, not only will you look better, but you will feel better.
How much more beneficial than just cutting out parts of your face with surgery or injecting foreign substances into your body which could have side effects unknown at some time in the future and also, will need to be done over and over. This is such as you were growing things in your garden and you noticed the leaves started wilting. Would you just try to change things by spray painting the leaves. Or would you try to find out what is causing the problem and treat that? That is the beauty of acupuncture-It treats the root cause, not just the symptoms, which is more likely to prevent the same things occurring again.

This treatment can only be beneficial unless a person is using Coumadin or has high blood pressure or a bleeding disorder. For these disorders, it is contraindicated.

probiotic and depression

One area of medicine is particularly prone to look at its organ separately from rest of the body. That area is psychiatry. Mental problems are examined  all area. The last thing that would be considered is looking at the patient’s digestive system.  The gut’s brain, known as the enteric nervous system, is located in sheaths of tissue lining the esophagus, stomach, small intestine and colon. Considered a single entity, it is a network of neurons, neurotransmitters and proteins that zap messages between neurons, support cells like those found in the brain proper and a complex circuitry that enables it to act independently, learn, remember and, as the saying goes, produce gut feelings. (1).

One of the reasons that dietary changes work is because it helps alter your gut flora in very beneficial ways. The beneficial bacteria in your gut have a profound influence on your health, particular in your mental health. Your gut actually produces more serotonin than your brain does!

Your gut is frequently referred to as ‘the second brain,’ and when you consider the fact that the gut-brain connection is recognized as a basic tenet of physiology and medicine, and that there’s no shortage of evidence of gastrointestinal involvement in a variety of neurological diseases, it’s easy to see how the balance of gut bacteria can play a significant role in your psychology and behavior as well. With this in mind, it should also be crystal clear that nourishing your gut flora is extremely important, from cradle to grave, because in a very real sense you have two brains, one inside your skull and one in your gut, and each needs its own vital nourishment.

Increasingly scientific evidence shows that nourishing your gut flora with the beneficial bacteria found in traditionally fermented food or probiotic supplements is extremely important for proper brain function, and that includes psychological well-being and mood central. Recent research show, the probiotic Lactobacillus GG had remarked effect on GABA levels in centain brain regions and lowered the stress hormone result reduce anxiety-and depression-related behavior and GABA is the main calming, inhibitory in the brain. Lactobacillus GG effect on behavior were very similar to given mice acute injection of valium. (2).

The Hidden Danger of Calcium Supplements

Calcium has been the faces of nutritional research for the prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis. Main clinic trials of calcium supplementation have found that it can indeed reduce bone loss and lower risk of bone fractures.

However the trials often include a simultaneous treatment with magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin K, and many other trace minerals, fat intake (1), life style, and exercise. Also hormones such as parathyroid, adrenal, insulin (2) and estrogen play important parts in the regulation of bone health. It is difficult to attribute the benefit to calcium alone. Calcium requires other specific nutrients in order to be utilized.

When you want to do what’s best to build and maintain strong bones through out your life, what is the best action you can take?  Most people go after calcium supplements. The medical profession just assumes that it has a homing device and it knows to go into your bone. Some of which have little or no benefits and some of which may actually be harmful. Calcium is too often deposited in soft tissue, where it can cause arthritis and arteriosclerosis. In my clinic, I see people who took 1600mg of calcium per day for last twenty years, but osteoporosis is getting worse and accompanies severe arthritis or stenosis with whole body of joints ache and pain.  This is because the calcium you took did not go to the bones and it went to soft tissue and joints.

Dr. Robert Thompson M.D. wrote an entire book, The Calcium Lie, addressing this important issue. Although he’d been able to resolve many illnesses with supplements and herbs and other less toxic alternatives to drugs.  He concluded that enormous amounts of money were being wasted on supplements that had little or no health benefit, and in some cases could actually worsen your health.

One of the tenets of his book is that bone is composed of at least a dozen minerals, and if you focus exclusively on calcium supplementation you are likely going to worsen your bone density, and will actually increase your risk of osteoporosis!

Dr. Thompson believes that the overconsumption of calcium with the goal of preventing osteoporosis creates other mineral deficiencies and imbalances that will also increase your risk of heart disease, kidney stones, gallstones, osteoarthritis, hypothyroidism, obesity and type 2 diabetes.

Interestingly, he proposes that one of the best practical alternatives is the use of naturally occurring ionic supplements, as ionic minerals are the most plentiful form of minerals found on earth.  He believes that almost everyone needs trace minerals, not just calcium, because you simply cannot get all the nutrients you need through food grown in mineral depleted soils.

If you take calcium supplements, make sure it includes vitamin D (is absolutely the nutrient to utilized calcium), vitamin K (is co factor for the enzyme that makes new bone), magnesium (Prevent calcium to be pulled out of bones also it will pull out unwanted calcium from arteries and joints), Boron and Zinc and many other minerals. Sometimes fat intake as omega-3 fish oil and cod liver oil has the secret to building your bone density. Exercise is the key for building strong bones. Get out in the sun. Your body needs vitamin D from sun exposure. Just a few minutes a day is enough.

Smoking interferes with the absorption of vital nutrients that feed bone and also put toxic substances such as cadmium and other metal or chemical to destroy bone tissue. Smoking leads to an increase in the risk of bone fracture. Caffeine may be linked to calcium loss from bones, and tends to promote calcium excretion in urine. Limit your intake of caffeinated beverages will help bone density.

We must always remember that what you eat and drink is #1 priority for healing of your bones and all parts of your body. A new study suggests that calcium from food sources may be more effective than calcium from supplements. It found that women who get most of their daily calcium from food sources have healthier bones and great bone density, even though those who took more supplements tended to have high average levels of calcium. The evidence continues to mount that eating plenty of fruit and vegetables is good for your health. In this case, researchers found that both young and old age groups had improvements in bone minerals status when they eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Especially those green vegetables that contain fair amount calcium, magnesium and phyto-nutrients that feed your bone. God is our healer; He has provided natural resources for humans to live healthier lives. Back to nature is the key for healing osteoporosis.

The History of Acupuncture And How It Works

For over 5000 years, people in the Orient have relied upon Traditional Oriental Medicine as their primary healing system. In recent years, this time-honored healing art has gained wide acceptance all over the world as a powerful complement to conventional modern medicine. Acupuncture in particular has become a popular choice for millions of Americans seeking a safe, holistic, and natural alternative to conventional drug therapy and surgery.

In recent years the National Institutes of Health, the World Health Organization, and other national and international health and medical bodies have come to integrate and promote Acupuncture as a safe, effective and low-cost method of treatment for a wide variety of disorders. Acupuncture is safe because the needles are single-use and sterilized, and because it is performed by licensed, well-trained specialists. It is holisticbecause it is based upon the understanding of the body as a connected web, both physical and mental. And it is natural because it stimulates the body’s own response to imbalance and disease. Acupuncture is relaxing and enjoyable; most of our patients find their treatments very pleasant and energizing.

How does Acupuncture Work?
There is vital life energy that courses through our body. The ancient Chinese called it “Qi” (pronounced “chee”). Qi can be stimulated on the surface of the body by dozens of channels or meridians that connect hundreds of acupuncture points. These points have specific and powerful effects on many organs and functions of the body, including the mind and spirit.

By the gentle insertion of ultra-fine, sterilized needles, a skilled acupuncturist can direct the flow of qi to strengthen the body’s hormones, organs, blood and nerves, bringing balance and healing. Modern research has confirmed that Acupuncture has a strong effect on stimulating endorphins, serotonin, cortisol, ACTH, and other powerful chemicals that our body naturally produces in order to heal disease and maintain a healthy state. Acupuncture is usually painless and can stimulate profound feelings of relaxation and well-being. Occasionally you may experience a slight prick or sore sensation. Any discomfort is usually very temporary and your practitioner can adjust the treatment to match your tolerance level.

There are several well-known styles or techniques of Acupuncture. This is because Acupuncture is very ancient and developed in China, Japan, Korea, and other Asian countries before becoming popular in Europe and the United States. The styles of Acupuncture most often utilized in our practice are Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, Five Element Acupuncture, Korean Acupuncture, Ear Acupuncture, Laser Acupuncture. Electro-Acupuncture, and Magnetic Acupuncture. We also utilize moxabustion (infra-red heat therapy), and “gwa sha,” a traditional Chinese massage treatment, as adjuncts to Acupuncture.

Acupuncture Relieves Pain
Acupuncture is perhaps best known as a natural and powerful treatment for acute and chronic pain. Contemporary medical research has shown that acupuncture stimulates the natural release of endorphins and other neuro-transmitters, hormones, and enzymes that can powerfully and naturally reduce inflammation and irritation and promote healing. People with conditions ranging from headaches to sciatica to arthritis usually respond very favorably to acupuncture. Many patients seek out acupuncture in order to avoid the harmful side effects of many pain-killing medications and the obvious dangers of surgery. Most of our patients who come to us for relief of pain tell us that we are their “last resort” as conventional medicine has nothing left to offer them. We are tremendously gratified that we can help a vast majority of these people.

Chronic yeast infection

Chronic yeast infection And Treatment Protocol
Candida is a group of toxic yeast-like microorganisms (Candida albicans being the most common), that live among many other organisms in the human mouth, throat, intestines and genital/urinary tract. Under normal circumstances yeast live in 80% of the human population all the time with no harmful effects, as they are in balance with other bacteria.

When the natural flora in the intestinal/digestive tract fail to control the candida yeast population, “overgrowth” occurs.
Overgrowth is uncontrolled multiplication of yeast cells, resulting in various symptoms commonly termed Candidiasis or just Candida.
Candidiasis affects a wide variety of organ systems. Common examples of candida infection are vaginitis; vulvar rash; oral thrush; conjunctivitis; athlete’s foot, ringworm, jock itch, diaper rash, muscle and joint pain, canker sores, sore throat, tingling sensations, kidney and bladder infections, infections of the nail, rectum, and other skin folds, effects in the gastrointestinal tract (constipation, diarrhea, colitis, abdominal pain, gas, distension, and heartburn), depression and even diabetes.
In immunocompetent persons (those whose immune system is functioning normally), any warm, moist part of the body exposed to the environment is susceptible to infection. This infection is mostly superficial, and proper treatment leads to full recovery.
In immunocompromised persons (those whose immune system has been impaired by disease or treatment), more serious systemic illnesses may occur.

Causes of Candida
Poor diet, an out-of-balance intestinal bacterial environment, and weakened immunity can all give rise to candida. Overuse of antibiotics destroys the natural flora in the intestines that keep the candida cells in check. Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, AIDS patients, infants, diabetics and others with weakened immune systems are more susceptible to an infection of candida (candidiasis). Corticosteroids and oral contraceptives also upset the balance of intestinal flora. Yeast cells mutate, requiring ever higher dosages of Nystatin (the anti-fungal drug), so that the yeast is
strengthened and the immune system further weakened.

Candida Diet Plan – Reversing candida
1. Detox
The first aim of your Candida cleanse is to cleanse the system of the toxic byproducts of Candida. Fasting, colon cleansing, wheatgrass, fresh vegetable juices, plenty of water, detox herbs, exercise, and anything else that extracts toxins.
2. Reduce the yeast population in your system
Candida treatment must bring yeast cells back into balance. Use anti-microbial herbs and phytochemicals in formulas from your natural or health food store that include a combination of these powerful herbs, 15 days on then 5 days off, repeating as long as needed. The 5 day break discourages mutating yeast from multiplying and developing immunity to the herbs.
3. Inoculate yourself with probiotics
Probiotic bacteria favorably alter the intestinal microflora balance, inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria, promote good digestion, boost immune function, and increase resistance to infection. People with flourishing intestinal colonies of beneficial bacteria are better equipped to fight the growth of disease-causing bacteria. Lactobacilli and bifidobacteria, along with acidophilus (found in yogurt), maintain a healthy balance of intestinal flora by producing organic compounds (lactic acid, hydrogen peroxide, and acetic acid) that increase the acidity of the intestine and inhibit the reproduction of many harmful bacteria. Probiotic bacteria also produce substances called bacteriocins, which act as natural antibiotics to kill undesirable microorganisms.

4. Improve your diet
A diet to eliminate Candida is a long-term lifestyle – and in fact diet is your best defence against candida. Yeast loves sugar and simple carbohydrates; if you keep feeding yeast cells they will multiply, and even the best anti-microbial herbs won’t keep them in check. Eat a disciplined diet for at least 3 months, then When your symptoms disappear, you can expand your diet. But don’t revert to old habits, or the candida symptoms will quickly return.

Keeping Candida in Check
Foods to Avoid
Aged cheeses, alcohol, chocolate, dried fruits, fresh fruits, fermented foods, mushrooms, vinegar, glutenous foods (wheat, rye, oats, barley), all sugars, honeys and syrups (that includes any ‘ose’, like lactose, sucrose etc), and foods that contain yeast or mold (breads, muffins, cakes, baked goods, cheese, dried fruits, melons, peanuts – although nutritional and brewer’s yeasts are not harmful, as they do not colonize in the intestines).
Foods to Eat
Vegetables (including plenty of raw garlic), protein foods (beef, chicken, eggs, fish), live yogurt cultures (both dairy and non-dairy,) FOS*, whey, acidophilus, green algae’s (such as spirulina and chlorella), nuts, seeds and oils, and non-glutenous grains (like millet, rice, rice bran and oat bran).
* FOS, or Fructo-oligosaccharides, are nondigestible dietary fibers that help to keep the stomach and bowels healthy.
FOS are considered a “prebiotic” because they nourish the naturally present “friendly” bacteria (especially Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli) which help to ward off infection in the digestive system.

Lyme disease and treatment Protocol

Chronic Lyme disease is a fast-spreading problem in US, especially in the northeastern part of the country, and even worldwide. Classic Lyme disease is caused by a bacterial spirochete called borrelia burgdorferi. Conventional belief claims that Lyme disease is conveyed through tick bites. More recent literature has shown that certain stinging flies, spiders and even some mosquitoes can infect humans with this spirochete (1).This means that the disease may be more widespread than previously anticipated. Lyme disease typically does not occur alone but together with a number of co-infections. Classic Lyme disease lowers white blood cell count and lessens host immunity. When the immune system becomes dysfunctional, patients are more likely to become infected with a multitude of secondary bacterial, fungal, mycoplasmal and viral infections. Another co-condition for the thriving of infectious organisms in the system is the presence of toxic metals and other environmental toxins.

Lyme disease symptoms and effects

Chronic Lyme disease affects the immune system by rendering it blind to the existence of Borrelia and other co- infections. Lyme can also affect the musculo-skeletal system with recurrent joint problems and fibromyalgia-type pain. A third presentation affects the central nervous system with a multitude of related symptoms including emotional changes, psychiatric problems and neurological problems, i.e. numbness, paralysis and strange abnormal sensations. The areas most commonly affected are the brain and face, including the teeth, jawbone, ears and sinuses. Neurotoxins, produced by the Lyme bacteria( usually peptides and other substances intended to alter the host’s immune system) make the host a comfortable environment for the proliferation of borrelia and co-infections.

The group suffering most is newborn babies and young children, who rarely are diagnosed correctly and therefore, are not treated appropriately. They often carry the labels ADHD, autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), seizure disorder and others. For more details, see Dr. Klinghard of the Academy for Healing Arts.

These microbes often invade tissues that had previously been injured: your chronic neck pain or sciatic may really be a Bb infection. The same may be true for your chronic TMJ problem, your adrenal fatigue, your thyroid dysfunction, your migraine headache, your GERD, your diabetic condition, celiac disease and many seemingly unrelated symptoms.

Another area of the body, the oral cavity, can also be affected by Lyme bacteria, producing systemic disease and chronic pain. Christopher Hussar, DO, DDS of Reno, Nevada, who has been treating Lyme disease for almost twenty years from the perspective of dentistry and medicine has discovered a connection between jaw bone infection and chronic Lyme disease. Chronic inflammation from this condition destabilizes cholesterol deposits in coronary arteries, chews up nerve cells in the brain of people with Alzheimer’s disease, causes neck and head pain and aggravates cavity formations, root canals, sinus infections, ischemic bone and necrotic bone, infected or dead teeth, tumors and reflex sympathetic dystrophy of the face. There are 700 different bacteria in cavities. It is important to ask patients about illnesses that begin a short time after dental work. Fluoride may lead to osteoporosis and low IQs when overdone. Patients can develop Bell’s palsy after a cleaning because of the toxins that are stirred up. When wisdow teeth come through the bone they contain bacteria that never go away. From a cardiovascular perspective, wisdom teeth are connected to the heart.

Lyme bacteria may causes heart problems commonly call tachycardia ,or sudden increase of rate of heartbeats to over one hundred per minute. The patients rush into the hospital because they think they are having a heart attack.

Lyme patients also sometimes develop osteoporosis because the Lyme bacteria feed on magnesium. Changes in the calcium and magnesium ratio may cause low bone density. Most Lyme patient have some degree of anemia because babesiosis (co –infection)also leech out iron from the blood. Also, Lyme disease and MS have the same symptoms. When you are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, it would be a good idea to get tested for Lyme disease. Rheumatoid arthritis patient are always infected with Lyme bacteria.

Symptoms of Co-Infections in Lyme

Piroplasmosis (Babesiosis)
Rapid onset of initial illness occurs, often with sudden onset of high fever, severe headaches, sweats and fatigue, thus making it easy to know when the infection began. Obvious sweats occur, usually at night, but can be day sweats as well. Air hunger, need to sigh and take a deep breath; dry cough without apparent reason. Headache can be severe-dull, global Fatigue is prominent, doesn’t clear with rest, and is made worse with exercise. Mental dullness-and slowing of reactions and responses. Dizziness-more like a tipsy feeling, and not vertigo or purely orthostasis. Symptoms cycle rapidly, with flares every four to six days. Hypercoaguable states are often associated with babesia infections. Rarely, splenomegaly.

Bartonella & “Bartonella-like Organisms”
Gradual onset of illness. If a patient has no or minimal joint complaints but has severely encephalopathy, then ,you think of bartonella/BLO. Obvious sign of CNS irritability can include muscle twitches, tremors, insomnia, seizure, agitation, anxiety, severe mood swings, outbursts and antisocial behavior. GI involvement may present as gastritis or abdominal pain Sore soles, especially in the morning. Tender sub-cutaneous nodules along the extremities especially on thigh, shins, and occasionally along triceps. Occasional lymphadenopathy. Morning fevers, usually around 99. Occasionally light sweats are noted. Elevated vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) occurs in a minority, but the degree of elevation correlates with activity of the infection and may be used to monitor treatment. Rapid response to treatment-often symptoms improve within days after antibiotics are begun. But relapses occur also within days if medication withdrawn early. May have popular or linear red rashes (like stretch marks that do not always follow skin planes). Especially in those with GI involvement.

Rapid onset of initial illness with fever, headache, prostration. Headaches are sharp, knife-like, and often behind the eyes. Muscle pain, not joint pain, can be mild or severe. Low WBC count, elevated liver enzymes, and (rarely) inclusions in the WBCs Rarely, will see diffuse vasculitic rash, including palms and soles (less than 10%) Rapid response to treatment.

DNA Viruses (HHV-6, EBV, CMV)
Persistent fatigue may develop, made worse with exercise. Sore throat, lymphadenopathy, and other viral-like complaints. May see elevated liver enzymes and low WBC counts. Autonomic dysfunction.

Most lab test very reliable. About 60% patients have false test. A lot good Physician does not use lab result. Only by clinic symptoms. Many state passed low allow doctor use antibiotic treat Lyme without positive antibody test. Beware Lyme test is negative did not mean you don’t have Lyme disease.

Treatment protocol
Treat infection and co-infections. Antibiotic treatment –see Advanced topics in Lyme disease By Dr. Joseph J Burrascano JR. M.D.

Herb treatment
Samento This product has shown the most consistent action against Borrelia, bartonella, Ehrlichiosis, Rickettsia, mycoplasma and other co-infections. Herxheimer reactions are expected and may occur at any stage of the treatment. Try raw food diet. Moderate exercise, metal detoxification program. Drink more water.
Freeze Dried Garlic Garlic has been shown to protect the white and red cell from oxidative damage. It contain numerous suphur components, including the most valuable sulph- hydryl group, which oxidizes mercury, cadmium, and lead, making those metals water soluble and easy to excrete. It also has shown valid detoxification function and may protect against heart disease and cancer. Garlic has shown strong antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antiviral, anti-parasitic.

Ozonides from Natural Vegetable Oil
Physiologically compatible ozonides are long chained, oxygen-rich oils. They are water free and viscous and formed from natural fatty oils such as olive oil or caster oil and oxygen in the form of ozone.

Action of the constituents:
1. Ozonides transfer oxygen and change the environment in which anaerobic pathogenic Germs live, making it aerobic. This prevents anaerobic germs, such as Clostridia, from Reproducing. The oil is surface-active and, through its active substances, moistens the Intestinal mucous membrane where nests of fungi and bacteria and parasites may be located.
2. Wormwood is ideal for stimulating secretion by the digestive tract. It stimulates the appetite, remedies digestive disorders, acts against gastrospasms and flatulence. The amaroids Are extremely effective in promoting digestion, stimulating secretion and peristalsis in the Stomach and intestinal region. Anthelminthic, promotes circulation.
3. Clove are aromatic, stimulate the appetite, promote digestion, are a stimulant, expel Flatulence, are analgesic, antiseptic. The drug also has eupeptic properties and acts as a gastric Tonic. It is also an effective anthelminthic agent.
4. Walnut is bitter, promotes digestion, is cleansing, lowers the blood glucose level and blood Pressure, is anti-inflammatory and antiseptic.
5. Mint: antiseptic, stimulates the liver.

Heavy metal detoxication
1. Diet. It will be important to have a high protein diet, as the sulfur bearing amino acids in the protein will greatly facilitate detoxification. Whey protein can be used as a supplement as it is high in glutathione and branched chain amino acids. Avoid sugar, milk and grain.
2. Beneficial Bacteria Take one quarter to one half teaspoon once a day of a high potency high quality strain. It is vital to have an optimized bowel flora for detoxification. Patients with a Lyme disease yeast infection are advised to consume unsweetened (plain) yoghurt containing active cultures such as L. acidophilus, L. rhamnosus, L. casei, and Bifidibacteria infantis. Soy or dairy-free probiotic yoghurts are available for those who are lactose intolerant, vegan, or allergic to dairy. Taking a probiotic capsule is also advisable, both during Lyme disease treatment and for a number of weeks following treatment to ensure a healthy repopulation of the gut with resident bacteria. These probiotics are easily affected by heat and acidity and should not, therefore, be taken with hot drinks or with meals. Taking probiotics on an empty stomach will usually increase the opportunities for the bacteria to travel to the intestines which are where they are of most benefit. A product containing 4 to 10 bullion colony units (CFUs) should be considered a minimum when you treat Lyme
3. Maintain two to three bowel movements per day If you are not having this many bowel movements make certain that your thyroid status has been checked. It is very common for mercury to affect the thyroid. If your thyroid function is fine then you should add some magnesium. Freshly ground flax seed several teaspoons per day will facilitate intestinal movement and also contribute some healthy essential fatty acids.
4. Unload the connective tissue with Chlorella or ProChitosan Chlorella and ProChitosan are an important part of the detoxification program, as approximately 90% of the mercury in our bodies is eliminated through the stool. Chlorella is a Lyme and, unlike Protchitosan, has high levels of protein, chlorophyll and other nutrients which can be used for nourishment. The chlorella powder is the most cost effective approach but some people will prefer the tablets or capsules for convenience. A simple way to dissolve the powder is to place it in a container with a lid, partially filled with water. Then tighten the lid and shake it to dissolve and drink the solution… If you are unable to tolerate this, it would be wise to consider adding an enzyme with cellulase in it to help digest the chlorella. Porphrazyme from Biotics Research is another alternative to chlorella that many clinicians have used successfully in mercury detoxification.
5. Start Garlic or MSM and Cilantro It would be wise to start on garlic regularly to enhance sulfur stores. Use the food, rather than the supplement garlic. Try to get in three cloves per day, but decrease the dose if your odor becomes socially offensive. MSM is a form of sulfur which will help your body to remove the mercury. The initial dose is one capsule twice a day. Increase by one capsule a day until you are at three capsules twice a day. If you have root canals and are chronically sick you may want to increase to five capsules three times a day. Cilantro will help mobilize mercury out of the tissue so the DMPS can attach to it and allow it to be excreted from the body.
6. Mineral Replacement It is important to have a generally healthy mineral base. The body works better with toxic metals than no metals at all. Enzymes have certain binding sites that require a metal for them to perform their function as a catalyst. When you are deficient in magnesium, sodium, zinc and other minerals, the body does not let go of the toxic metals very easily. Selenium and zinc are particularly important trace minerals in mercury detoxification and should be used for most people.
7. Hydrochloric Acid: If you do not have a sufficient amount of hydrochloric acid secreted by your stomach, then it will be very difficult to ionize mineral supplements to absorb them properly. There is a hydrochloric acid reflex present on the lowest rib approximately one inch lateral to the midline. If this area on the rib is tender to palpation there is a strong likelihood the person is deficient in hydrochloric acid and would benefit from supplementation.
8. Digestion and Gall Bladder Support for Autism Liver and gallbladder congestion are major issues in states of toxicity. To insure that your gallbladder bile flow is functional, add magnesium taurate or taurine, butyric acid (Butryex 559-433-3110), and Digestive enzymes. Your ability to clear toxins will be impaired if you do not have proper fats to support digestive function. Your diet should contain adequate fat from unprocessed pure oils, Omega Nutrition, Flora or Arrowhead Mills. Seeds, nuts and avocados.
9. Antioxidants Vitamin C and E. It would be wise to take unique vitamin E 400, one capsule per day and about 250-500 mg of vitamin C with each meal. If you are exercising aggressively you can take 1000 mg of C 15-30 minutes prior to exercising. It is also wise to consider adding 2-4,000 mg of Vitamin C powder to a half gallon of water and drinking that throughout the day.

Lyme disease and Chinese medicine

1.Lyme Pattern and Chinese medicine
People with Lyme diseases present a complex syndrome picture. They often have signs of Qi stagnation. There can be signs of heart Qi and Blood deficiency. The insufficiency of Heart Yin can allow Heart Yang to rise and disturb the Shen. The person can have heart palpitations, irritability, severe insomnia, and anxiety or panic attacks. The person can also suffer from suicidal thoughts due to disruptions with brain functioning.Another component of the pattern these conditions present is blood stagnation. The pain that people with these diseases can experience can be tender, intense, and shooting. They can experience tingling and numbness due to obstructions of Qi and Blood. The pain often does not respond well or at all to conventional prescription pain medications. As a result people with Fibromyalgia, CFS, and Lyme Disease can become painful condition. The next component of these conditions can include Wind, Cold, and Dampness. The person experiences exquisite sensitivity to changes in weather patterns. Their body temperature can be generally low. They can have cold extremities. The next component is a pattern of Qi, Blood, Yin, and Yang deficiency. People can feel utterly exhausted, depleted, and fatigued while having mild to severe digestive problems. They can break out into cold sweats for no reason. They can have poor memory, inability to concentrate, and changes in vision. They can have night sweats and debilitating insomnia. They can experience dull achy chronic pain as well as severe and intense pain. Often, people have lack of libido, infertility, low back pain, weak knees, and other signs of kidney deficiency. People’s tendons can become loose or weak, and they can suffer from bone dislocations more easily. The fatigue and sleep irregularities that people experience can also be similar to a severe version of jetlag.

2. TCM treatment protocol
There are a number of different approaches that TCM practitioners can take to help improve quality of life for their patients. The first step is moving Qi and Blood, and warming the channels. Promoting circulation and removing blockages can help the person’s body fight their illness more effectively.Moxibustion and infrared heat therapy are very helpful for people with these conditions. Acupuncture is very helpful to relieved pain. Utilizing herbs that move Qi and Blood such as San Qi, Mo Yao, Ru Xiang, Chuan Xiong, Dan Shen, Tao Ren, and Hong Hua, can all be useful for these conditions. Warming herbs such as Gui Zhi. Rou Gui, Xi Xin, Fu Zi, Gan Jiang, and Sheng Jiang can also be helpful. Care must be taken to combine these herbs with tonifying herbs so as not to deplete the patient further. It is important to tonify Qi, Yang, and Blood in people Lyme Disease. Herbs such as Ci Wu Jia, Dang Shen, Huang Qi, and Bai Zhu can be used to tonify Qi. Herbs such as Dang Gui, Gou Qi Zi, Suan Zao Ren, and Bai Shao Yao can tonify blood. Herbs such as Du Zhong, Rou Cong Rong, Dong Chong Xia Cao, and other Kidney tonifying herbs can be used to boost the person’s Yang energy. One herb, Xu Duan, seems to be particularly helpful for these conditions.

Infertility and Pregnancy

Do you have trouble getting Pregnant?

In females there are numerous reasons infertility may arise, including anovulation (no egg released during the fertile period of the monthly cycle), hormone imbalance (from many causes, including environmental chemicals interacting with human hormone receptors), chronic and/or low grade infection, stress (overproduction of adrenal stress hormones), inflammation and/or scaring of internal organs, environmental toxins and loss of physiologic regulation of the neuro-endocrine-immune system. Interestingly, no “scientific medical abnormality” can be found in a large percentage of “infertile couples.”
Toxicity: this is in my experience definitely the most common cause of infertility in both sexes. A good detoxification program using standard process purification program (standardprocess, com) Chlorella, Phospholipids with EDTA, sauna therapy, lymphatic drainage. Removal of amalgam fillings and root filled teeth may be required to conceive, especially for the mother. It is much easier and safer to detoxify a mother before she becomes pregnant.

Acupuncture for Infertility

Regulating the menstrual cycle. Increasing uterine blood flow. Thickening the embryo-nourishing uterine lining. Aiding in follicular maturation. Supporting embryo implantation. Enhancing production of endorphins to balance hormones controlling reproductive cycle. Increasing the chance of pregnancy for women undergoing in-vitro fertilization (IVF).
Certain acupuncture points are used to alleviate specific infertility syndromes. For weakness of the kidney and liver, the points Tai Xi (Kidney 3), Guan Yuan (Ren4), San Yin Jiao (Spleen 6) will be stimulated in certain combinations to restore function. For qi and blood stagnation, Tai Chong (Liver 3), Da Ji (Spleen 8), Xue Hai (Spleen 10), San Yin Jiao (Spleen 6) will be treated to resume flow of both qi and blood to normal levels. For inflammation, stimulation of San Yin Jiao (Spleen 6) and Feng Long (Stomach 40) helps calm and soothe in order to dissipate any blockages.
Stimulating local points such as Infant’s Palace (Zi Gong) that is located in the lower portion of the abdomen also combats infertility. The exact acupuncture prescription will be based upon your specific symptoms, focusing on relieving any imbalances in your body.
Studies indicate that acupuncture in combination with assisted reproduction therapies (ART), in vitro fertilization (IVF), or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) reduces infertility significantly.

Chinese Herbal Medicine for Infertility

Chinese medicine is very successful in increasing a woman’s chance to conceive. Chinese herbs for fertility address the underlying issues that lead to infertility. Deficiency caused by weakness of the kidney and liver are addressed with tonics that restore qi, blood, and yin and yang. Especially for women trying to conceive in her 30’s and 40’s, and is not something that is recognized in Western medicine. Kidney Deficiency . In Chinese medicine, the ‘Kidney Energy; is responsible for successful reproduction. Sufficient Kidney Energy is also necessary in the prevention of miscarriages. It is restored using Kidney Tonic Formulas such as Zuo gui wan for kidney Yin and you gui wan for kidney yang.
Second common cause is liver Qi stagnation. The Liver Energy is responsible for menstrual blood, and is the main underlying cause of stagnation in the uterus. Liver Qi Stagnation could be a factor in fallopian tube blocks, endometriosis, or fibroids.  It is important that the Liver Energy is soothed with Chinese herbs formula free Easy wander pill ( Xie ya wan ). Also liver detoxification such as milk thistle, dandeline and Yellow Dock can removed blockage free flow liver energy.
The third common cause infertily is Qi and blood stagnation at uterus. This can also be complicated by dampness. This condition is often seen with fibroids and endometriosis. Herbs that move Blood and Qi in the uterus, such as  are chuan xiong root. Bai shao and chi shao , shi wu wan combined with medicinal herbs that clear dampness, such as Poria cocos – fu ling fungus, Salvia miltiorrhiza – dan shen – red sage root, Paeonia suffruticosa – mu dan pi – tree peony root bark, Spatholobus suberectus – ji xue teng Studies focused on the treatment of various male infertility problems by usel herbal medicines (Guizhi-fuling-wan, and Siberian ginseng) have shown improved sperm viability and motility following treatment.

Thyroid treatment protocol

I have a special interest is thyroid disease, especially the hypothyroid, and thyroid/ fibromyalgia connection. For several years, I have been researching on computer and other resources found that people who have hypothyroid, autoimmune thyroid disease, fibromyalgia, pain response well to a combination of dietary change, exercise, acupuncture, nutritional supplements, and thyroid hormone T3 and T3/T4 therapy (prescribed by physicians who are open to this approach)… In looking at the issues behind thyroid problems.

I try to identify three stages of hypothyroidism
☻ When the gland can’t make the hormone.
☻ When the gland makes the hormone, but the gland and peripheral organs don’t convert the hormone-impaired T4 to T3 conversion ability.
☻ When the gland can produce the hormone and body can convert the hormone, but the immune system can’t handle it, and hormone can’t get to the receptor site.

Just like there is a situation known as insulin resistance, there is also a similar situation is thyroid hormone resistance… I focus on helping the gland make good hormone, helping the conversion problems, and helping reduce or eliminator receptor site resistance. Thyroid problem can be complex. I do not believe that one food supplement, or detoxification process, or synthroid is easy solution to thyroid problem. Sometimes that is difficult to do on your own. It is my hope holistic physician working together to help these patients and others like them

Autoimmunity – A Nutritional Strategy

Until recently the issue of autoimmunity was not even accepted within the scientific community. Although initially introduced in late 70’s, the mechanism of autoimmunity was considered radical until the late 1980s. Throughout the ’90s autoimmune diseases proliferated until it seemed almost common to know a person with an autoimmune disease.

Autoimmunity literally means that the immune system has developed antibodies to attack its own tissues. There are many theories as to why this may happen. This paper will present three of the main theories behind this event. Traditional medical approaches seem to concern themselves only with trying to control the secondary symptoms of autoimmunity instead of addressing the underlying causes, which are still enigmatic and mysterious.

One possible mechanism of autoimmunity concerns the integrity of the cellular and nuclear membrane. When these membranes begin to lose their integrity leaking minute amounts of nuclear genetic material directly into the bloodstream these nuclear proteins are perceived by the liver as indication that upstream tissue damage has occurred. In response the liver develops what are called natural tissue antibodies (NTA’s) that are put into circulation designed to target the upstream tissue breaking down and degrading the perceived damage before infection by an external agent can occur. This seems an intelligent response on the part of the body and may be addressed simply by encouraging healthy membrane physiology through the application of healthy essential fatty acids and phospho-lipids, which are the primary components of the cellular and nuclear membranes.

A second mechanism thought to cause autoimmunity is described as molecular mimicry. In this model it is possible for certain inoculants to induce immune responses to proteins sequence is that are similar to normal recurring tissue. The best example of us is the relationship between acquired immunity to German measles acquired from vaccination and the autoimmune disease of Ankylosing Spondylitis, in which the nucleotide sequences in the proteins of these two tissues are almost identical with only one nucleotide sequence different. This causes the acquired immunity of the vaccination to attack the normal occurring tissue in the body thinking that is a foreign protein. Many such mechanisms are speculated involving multiple sclerosis and other neurological diseases.

A third and final cause, called the dual signal hypothesis, describes the possibility of the immune system being up-regulated and hyper-reactive simultaneous to another injury occurring. As a result the overly ambitious immune system identifies this injury as an antigenic marker and thus begins to attack that tissue is if it were an infection. It is very common to note that many autoimmune diseases onset following severe physical or emotional trauma within 6 to 12 months.

In any of these cases the employment of foundational therapies seeking to balance all systems of the body can assist in bringing resolution to the autoimmune diseases. Down-regulation of immune activity by reducing inflammatory and chronic infection burdens while simultaneously balancing bio-terrain issues can gradually improve symptoms and result in remission. While it is difficult to repair tissue that has been attacked and damaged by an autoimmune response, it is reasonable to expect an interruption to the progression of the autoimmune disease. In this way autoimmunity can be contained without the ongoing use of imbalancing and dangerous drug therapies.
